Happy New Year! I have been sick this week and decided to read up on everyone's blogs and was inspired to update ours. This year we celebrated the New Year with some friends at our house. We watched football, ate, talked and played games with the Gregson's and the Steele's. Both families left before midnight (because of little ones) but we were able to persuade the Gregson's to let their older kids stay and hang till midnight. We were so happy to have Grace, Emma, Lily and Luke stay with us to bring in the New Year. We played more games and at midnight we went out and yelled, blew our horns and played with our sparklers and pop rocks. We even got the Steele's to come out and play for a few. Oh and I can't forget....we got to toast and drink our sparkling cider too. I am so proud of Andrew and Hawley for staying up so late. Hawley actually came with me to take the others home and stayed up till about 1:30am. We all slept in till about 10am that morning with the exception of Holden and Audrey. They actually slept till about 8am and watched TV in our bed so we could sleep in, what a great New Year! We hope you all have a wonderful New Year as well and we pray that you are able to accomplish what goals you have set for yourselves and families this year! I know my goal is to at least write once a month, among other goals as well.
